The winter solstice in Syracuse only has nine hours of sunlight during the day, and transforms our world into a quiet moon-lit wonderland at night. Explore the Baltimore Woods for a tranquil lantern-lit walk to discover and celebrate the promise of longer days ahead!
Dicken's Christmas | Skaneateles, NY
Saturdays & Sundays through Christmas Eve
Join Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria and their entourage for the 31st edition of Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles, noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 22, with an abbreviated production (noon to 2:30 p.m.) Christmas Eve. Merriment for the whole family: trunk shows, sing-alongs, musical and other entertainment, hot roasted chestnuts, and appearances by such beloved characters as Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria, Scrooge, Jacob Marley and Father Christmas. Produced by Scarlett Rat Entertainment and presented by the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Holiday Hayrides in Burnet
December 20th-21st: Burnet Park
Gather the whole family and get ready for a magical holiday experience! Sign up for a scenic horse-drawn wagon ride through a beautifully illuminated Burnet Park, where twinkling lights and festive decorations set the stage for a winter wonderland. The ride will wind through the park, before ending with a special visit from the jolly man in red himself—Santa Claus! Hayrides are $2 per person.
